Thinking about Dialogue

1.    Talk about the process of eavesdropping: 

           i.      Where did you go?

                  I started of walking down the hallway and looking around for people then I saw 2 people walking so I started following them but they didn't 

           ii.       How long did you listen to conversation?

                     I listened to their conversation for about 30 minutes.

           iii.      Who was it between?

                      I actually I didn't get the topic the talked like a bunch of stuff once it had a topic it changed the topic so it was hard to tell what kind topic.

           iv.      How did it feel to be recording the conversation?

                   It's very hard to listen to the conversations especially I have to write it word by word.

2.    What insights did you gain about the way people speak?

         I followed them really close.

3.    How can you apply this to your writing?

         I wrote what this guy said to an another I even changed the words to make much understandable.

4.    How is personality and character revealed through conversation/dialogue?

            The personalties of both of them are just being curious about something then they change the topic

5.    What happens when more than two people participate in a conversation?

            It makes the conversation much interesting and complicated because it makes people confused depending what they are talking about.

6.    What was the most surprising thing you’ve learned about the way people converse?

         That people can switch topics fast enough or they can stick to one.

7.    What are the differences and similarities between written and spoken conversations?

Written conversations is when you started to write about something and spoken conversations is what we do everyday liking talki to people.         Writing conversations is easier because you can write them on your own or somebody?
    It's easier for me to talk to somebody because I want to hear the emotion of a person instead of writing it which it can make me really bored so it's better to have a real conversation.

imaginary Quickwrite -Time Machine

If I was there I would buy the time machine and I would try if it can make me go back in time. At first I would wonder why there is an octopus on top of the car and of course I'll ask the astronaut if the time machine works and how much it costs. If the time mach on the time machine and I can imagine how the interior feels because the of the rips of the leather on the seats and I would feel the electrical wires hanging down on the time machine and I can imagine to hear the loud engine of the car when I start up the engine and I would feel pretty uncomfortable sitting on the ripped interior on the car and I would get the chance of testing the time machine and I would go back in time.

Quick Write-narcissists

I would say yes young people are becoming narcissists because people that I see people like selfie shots on Instagram and people are not shy to show themselves on social net working websites and some other people don't take pictures of themselves sometimes they use it for purposes like putting on make up or fixing their hair I'm pretty sure that before these phones that have a front facing camera we do fix our hair before going to school or during break some people bring small mirrors but now people have phones that they can check themselves to look good. I gotta admit I'm a narcissists because I love being who I am and I take pictures of myself and put it online and my style on my pictures is me wearing my hood up and I know people that I know (exept my friends) don't like that style because they think that I'm a gangster but I keep telling them I'm not and I'm still a good person I know that people don't put their hood  up on selfie pictures online but this is who I am and that is my style and it will never change no matter what people say about it.

What I would I do if I keep the Minions for a week? Well ask them to buy stuff for me but not in the department store I'll just let them buy me stuff in a convinence store instead. Reading Assignment #3

T-T Connection "Tattoo Machine" (46) The one text to text connection was when I was reading the book it reminded me of the book that I read on Chapters it's called Go Big or Go Home by Kat Von D which she talks about the stories of her own and her tattoo business and the stories behind her clients tattoo's and what they mean to them. Comparing the book to Kat Von D's book is that it has pictures of her tattooing other people but the book that I read is doesn't have photos but drawings but it makes me imagine what the tattoos look like from the clients that the author is tattooing but it has the same concept of Kat Von D's book. Tattoo's are my interest even thou I'm really young because I like the art of it and I like how meaningful the tattoo is to the person. My cousins have tattoo's and I always talk about there tattoos and the meanings about there tattoo's and I even asked them what is the most painful tattoo that they got which it sometimes surprises me and sometimes it's too obvious to know what they got. This book is my new favourite book to read.

I chose this picture because I loved this album and it was very special to me because my friend gave me this cd on my birthday and I played this album everyday and I keep playing my favourite songs from this album over and over again. It's one of my favourite albums of all time.

I used the valencia filter on Instagram and I used Studio for the wording and the editing on the picture.

Six Word Memoir #2

This image has a powerful message that tells people that killing themselves is not the right thing to do and I used to do that I know most people feel like they want to kill themselves because of problems and stress. I got to admit I do cut myself and now I’m always seeing a counsellor to help me get over this problem. I’ve uploaded this photo on Facebook and now I’m telling my family and friends to share it to other people if they feel like they want to take their life and people who saw the picture were asking me “is that your arm?” and I said “yes! that is my arm.” This is my first powerful message that I posted online.

The editing techniques that I’ve done on this picture was a bit of Photoshop because there was a mistake on the first one then I had to change the words so I have to  use the clone tool in Photoshop and changed the words on Pic Monkey. The punctuation on the text on the image was a period because it was the appropriate for the sentence. The placement of the letters on the image I have move to where it’s very easy to read and I have to change the font sizes to look really big so people can read it and the font colours have to red because I want it to stand it like a warning sign and tell people it’s not the right thing to do.

Six Word Memoir #3

This picture is one of my favorite photos because it has my dream car on the photo and I was like saying to myself “Soon enough I’ll own a car”. This car on the picture is a Nissan Skyline GTR R33 and they are very rare in Canada because its right hand drive and it’s very hard to import one of those to Canada. This car is my childhood dream car and I always drive this car in videogames and I won’t buy any racing games if this car is not on it. I freaked out when I saw this car in Canada and I kept saying “this is going to be my first car! I don’t care how much is it but I’ll buy it” and I told my friends if they’re going to ride with me and they said yes. This car is very fast and very nice.

The editing techniques that I had done to this picture were I had to change the filters on Instagram and I matched the colours of the font and the car on the picture because it will look interesting and the font size I have to make it big for the words “Soon enough” to make it as if I’m telling people that I'll own a car soon.

Six Word Memoir #4

This photo represents that I miss my hometown in Manila which is at the Philippines. I came to Canada 3 years ago and life sucks when you are away from your friends and family. My experience staying in Canada was wonderful I made lots of good friends for the past 3 years and I’ve never done things that I never done back home like seeing the shooting stars in Gimli, survival camp for cadets during the winter, holding a sword in taekwondo class, and visiting a lot of other provinces in Canada. I enjoy my life in Canada but I still miss home. My plan in the future is I’m finishing my university here in Canada and after that I’m going to start a new life in my hometown. The picture represents sadness because I miss the wonderful memories of what I’ve done back home.

I chose this picture because it's about my little brother's personality. He cheers me up when I'm not in a mood and I think that my brother is the cutest person in the world usually he doesn't smile like that on pictures but I chose it because it made me laugh a lot.

        I started liking tattoos when I was in 8th grade because I always see my cousins posting their new tattoos on Facebook and that when I started drawing on myself when I become really bored or something pops out of my mind and I erase it after. I started reading Inked magazine and saw Kat Von D's picture and I started watching her show called LA Ink and I was very addicted to the show but I watched when my parents are gone because I'm scared of their reaction about tattoos and watching the show it made me think why these people who are getting tattooed chose this design and what it means to them. One of the episodes that I watched that made me emotional was when Kat Von D tattooed a client a portrait of his daughter that has cancer which it made me cry for a bit. In my own opinion tattoos

Six Word Memoir #8

This picture represents my favourite song for 3 years when I first heard this song I kept on playing it over and over again on my radio, and my iPod. Lily Allen is a wonderful singer because she has a nice voice and her other songs were nice. This song made me feel obsessed to Lily Allen I started liking her when I was in 6th Grade which it made me research who Lily Allen was and her past songs that made her famous in the only in the UK because that where she come from and because of the research of the past song I also put her pictures as a wallpaper on my iPod and when my friends or my parents ask me "who is this girl on your iPod?" and I told them "it's Lily Allen!!" and they didn't know who Lily Allen was so I made them listen to this song and they said "they like it". Most of my friends know who is my favourite artist was and they keep asking me "Do you really like Lily Allen?" I always say "Yes!" up to this day I still love Lily Allen and I now collect CD's and Vinyls from her and I got her vinyl framed because I bought for myself on my birthday and it's my wish list since when I was in 6th Grade. I have so many favourite songs from other artists but I'll never forget this song that got stuck on my head and become my favourite song for 3 years.

The editing techniques that I did on this picture was I put a different filter on the photo and I used Studio for the letter and the photo itself was a screenshot on my phone.

I love fast cars there the type of cars that I want since when I was a kid and every guy wants a fast car and this picture was was taken in ST.Vital because there was a car show full off nice cars cars and one of my dream cars were there like this Audi R8 (the car on the picture) is one of my dream cars and this car is very fast plus this car is very rare that's why I really like this car. 

The editing on this picture was Instagram for the filters and studio for the lettering I the picture.

Besides books I like to read magazines because I enjoyed them because I love reading articles and I love to see ads on magazines. My favorite types of magazines that I read are car, men’s, watches, music and tattoo magazines and I love reading brochures mostly car brochures I collect them and I enjoy reading them one of my brochures the I never understand reading is I have a Toyota brochure  originally from Japan but I picked it up in Singapore because one taxi driver gave it to me because I asked him if I can have it and he said yes inside the brochure it had a little english writing and it was Japanese which its awesome. Whenever I go to bookstores I always go to the magazine section to read but sometimes I read books but the best book that I read was book called Bridge to Teribithia it talks about these two best friends who are hanging out and they are imagining this land called Teribithia and it reminds me of my best friends back home we like to hang out a lot but when I read this book there was a sad part of the book which it made me cry for the first time when I was reading it. What I learned in this book is about friendship and to be strong whatever happens like last year I’ve lost my friendship with one of my best friends it’s hard to let go but I had to move on I remembered sharing with my secrets with her and I remembered chatting her on Facebook just to check how is she doing and 2 years later she started blocking me and I was like thinking whats going on and I started messaging her on Facebook and she didn’t reply and she blocked me and I felt really sad and it reminded me of the sad part of the book . Im not a pocket book person but I like reading books about cars and watches.
